The Search for our Apprentice:

We are searching for the next top hair stylist from London, to offer them a job as our new "Apprentice". The winner will be given a 2 year-long job contract at Uffizi hair salon, all the training necessary to become a top stylist and access to the UK hair design industry. To win this unique position, there are 3 stages of the Audition-Interview process and the right candidate must make it through all of these, to win the prize and the place on the Uffizi team.

The Prize:

- 2 year part-time college place at the Alan D. Hair Academy, Oxford Street - NVQ 2&3 qualifications will be attained - starting early 2010

- 2 year job contract as the Apprentice Stylist at Uffizi Hair Salon in Battersea - working with all the top stylists, our clients and in-house training - a Full time position

- A complete hair re-style - cut & colour at the Uffizi salon

- Training days with the Education team at the Bed Head Academy, Battersea

- A large goody bag of Bed Head hair products

The Apprentice:

Candidates must be between 16-18 years old, as this is the entry age for the college course. We urge entrants to embrace the spirit of this process and not lie or omit information on their application. We are looking for someone who really wants to join our team and learn the trade - our new Apprentice will be a person with spark and enthusiasm for hair styling; a team player, with individual style.

Our Apprentice selection process will not be like other job interviews - we really are looking for someone special - experience is not necessary, just the commitment and dedication to complete the training and take their place on the Uffizi hair team. At Uffizi we pride ourselves on keeping a tight-knit family, atmosphere amongst the team - the new member will have to fit with our ethos of high quality work and fashionable, luxury style, in a fun and busy salon.

The Audition-Interview:
Stage 1.

Send us 250 words on why you want to win the place as Uffizi Apprentice 2010 and the answers to the following questions:

1) What are you wishing Santa to bring you this Christmas?

2) Where is your favourite place in London?

3) Which is your favourite album?

Applicants should include their contact details and a photo please - full CV is optional.

All applicants should download the application form from here and fill it out fully, to include with their 250 word intro.

Stage 2.

Presentation. The top 5 Applicants will be invited to a short meeting at the Bed Head Hair Academy in Battersea with Carl Smith (Head of Education at the Academy) and Biagio Morreale (the owner of the Uffizi salon) . Candidates will be asked to bring with them an A4 presentation showing 2 good and 2 bad examples of "style" and explain their choices.

Stage 3.

Interview: The last 3 potential Apprentices will be interviewed at the Uffizi salon and the winner will be announced the next day.
